True Praises from the Heart

track 1: The albums title track is arranged around a christian worship song of the same name. It features Anna Lamplough on both Tenor and Alto Saxophones as well as guitar solo by Mark Feltwell.

Shabach

track 2: Shabach feautres Anna as a 12 saxophone choir throughout. Based on gospel song 'Shabach', this arrangment uses Funk, Rock as Jazz influences. Features Mark Feltwell on Lead and Bass Guitars.

You are so Beautiful to Me

track 3: Simple arangment of the classic track for piano and saxophone.

Gabriel's Oboe

track 4: An arrangment of 'Gabriel's Oboe' by Ennio Morricone from 'The Mission', written for saxophone and string orchestra.

original pieces

From the Shadows into Light

track 5: This is a piece written around a well known church song, 'Shine Jesus Shine' by Graham Kendrick. It is darker and slower than the original song and this creates a more meaningful and atmospheric feel to the music.

film & tv

Starfish

tracks 6-11: A fantasy film by students at Lincoln University. It tells the story of a young girl called Lana, who doesn't feel at home in the fantasy world. As gangs terrorize the town, Lana is the only person who can turn the world on its head and restore order.

Ups not Downs

tracks 12-13: A documentary by Matt Whittingham, about a boy in the midlands with Down syndrome. This Documentary was aired on television in August 2007. Watch it here.

Stickman Returns

tracks 14-15: An animation by Jorawar Singh Taak. Stickman Groove was the original soundtrack written for Stickman Returns, the Stickman Theme is the track used on the animation. Watch it here.

ensemble

Never Knowing, Always Looking

track 16: This piece is written for a six piece ensemble, consisting of Violin, Clarinet, Trumpet, Bassoon, Double Bass & Drum Kit. It contains rock influences, using the instruments to create double delay effects and rock beats in the drum kit. This recording features the BCMG.

Study

track 17: A simple string quartet written in three movments, influenced by Stravinsky. This recording features the BCMG.
